Implementation Advisor - Transport

The Opportunity
Our Transport team at the Otago Regional Council is looking for an Implementation Advisor - Transport to join the team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term basis (12 months) in our busy Dunedin office to support the team during a period of multiple converging key workstreams.
The purpose of this position is to maintain and improve the Otago Regional Council's (ORC) implementation of its public transport function, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service whilst operating within budget and increasing the positive public profile of the ORC.
As an Implementation Advisor - Transport, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with the delivery of public transport services and public transport procurement.
  • Implementing public transport contracts, network performance monitoring programmes, public transport customer service programmes, and public transport promotions programmes and communications.
  • Contributing towards electronic ticketing system operations and other transport technology operations.
  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships with internal and external contacts.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • A relevant degree level qualification in commerce, business management or equivalent (or an equivalent combination of qualification and experience).
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Three to five years' work experience including significant business, local government, and operational public transport delivery experience.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate clearly with all staff and the public.
