About the Role
As the Head of Commercial Performance, you will be at the forefront of Northpower's commercial and financial operations. This is not just another role - it’s an opportunity to lead, innovate, and transform. You’ll guide a talented team of six Commercial Managers across our North Island depots focusing on leadership development, succession planning, and long-term business growth. Your key responsibilities include:
- Taking charge of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and month-end processes, ensuring optimal financial health
- Leading insightful financial reporting and performance analysis to keep us on track for success
- Crafting strategies to boost profitability, minimize costs, and uncover new growth opportunities
- Providing high-level commercial leadership and ensuring cohesive performance across the Contracting division
- Overseeing the development, negotiation, and management of key contracts that shape the future of Northpower

Who We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a visionary commercial leader who is ready to make a bold impact. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A Chartered Accountant qualification, coupled with 10+ years of experience in financial and commercial management
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams in contracting or commercial environments
- Expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and the execution of commercial strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire teams and build collaborative relationships at all levels of the business
