Time Commitment:
We ask volunteers to commit to a four-hour shift once a week or fortnightly. In addition, due to the nature of these roles, we are only able to consider volunteers who are able to commit for a minimum of 12 months.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sensitivity towards those who are sick
  • A friendly, caring and compassionate nature
  • A genuine interest in the well-being of others

Ultimately, we are looking for people who have an aptitude to working with a diversity of cultures that will bring passion to this crucial function within the Hato Hone St John Hospital services. We offer full training and support, uniform, and Hato Hone St John membership (which gives free ambulance service for immediate family, as well as additional benefits).
