Job Description He aha te tūranga - About the role: Do you have time to help people in a busy hospital setting? Enjoy working with others and leading a team? We have an exciting opportunity available in Dunedin to lead and support our Friends of the Emergency Department (FED) team. Our FEDs provide comfort, reassurance, and help to patients and their families, becoming an important part of a hopsital's emergency department. This is a volunteer position and involves:
Recruitment and training of new volunteers
Provide support and mentoring advice to the team
Liaising with Hospital staff
Reporting and attending Area Committee Meetings as required
Organising recognition events, meetings and training for the team
Attend a minimum of one shift per month at the hospital
Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you: To be successful in this role, you will have:
A genuine interest in the well-being of others
Experience and ability to problem solve, lead a team and be a team-player
Computer literate to perform required administrative tasks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Applicants must be 18+ with a clean criminal record
