Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
We are currently recruiting for an Emergency Medical Assistant to join the team in Dargaville. This is a fixed term position for 12 months, working an average of 42 hours on a DDNN 4 x 4 roster. In this role you will:
- Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
- Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care (under supervision)
- Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
- Complete other relevant administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- a minimum of a St John First Responder qualification or ATP of EMT.
- a full NZ driving licence and either have held it for at least one year OR have completed an NZTA approved advanced driving course.
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui) .
