About the role:
A rare leadership opportunity has become available in our Ultra Luxury hotel. Reporting to the General Manager you will assume the position of second in command of all hotel Operations and full responsibility in the General Manager’s absence.
This is a key position that would suit an EAM with a Rooms or F&B background looking for a luxury role. The successful candidate will need to have extensive hospitality experience, a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach. The right applicant must be self motivated, a team player and able to work well in a high-pressure environment. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible!
The role involves:
Management and training of operations’ teams
Ensuring the ultimate guest experience, through a genuinely warm and personalised service
Inspiring the highest standards through all core departments of the hotel
Effective financial and manning management
Coaching Ho Ds and other managers
Managing logistics and communications around groups and events, ensuring a seamless outcome
About you:
The successful candidate must be passionate, well presented, possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and most importantly, will go above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a true luxury experience for our guests.
Additionally, you will have:
A passion for service delivery and hospitality
Previous (minimum 4 years) senior level experience in 5 Star Luxury Hotels and or Boutique Lodges
Exceptional Food & Beverage and or Front Office knowledge
A commitment to high standards and quality
A hardworking and co-operative manner
Excellent management ability and communication skills
Ability to drive a team and foster team-work
A developmental and coaching approach
Understanding of housekeeping & maintenance procedures
Administrative management experience, including strong financial acumen
A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
An awareness of developments within the food & lodge industries as well as international trends in hospitality
