Our Early Childcare Education Centres – Waiapu Kids are located across eight locations in Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti and Hawkes Bay and offer safe, nurturing, and educational environments for children and whānau to thrive.
Due to one of our amazing ECE Teachers relocating, we now have an opportunity for someone equally amazing to join our team at Waiapu Kids St Francis Whānau Aroha. We are an experienced, energetic and professional team based in Rotorua. This is a permanent teaching position for 30 hours per week and may suit a student who is due to qualify as a teacher at the end of 2024.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Waiapu Kids St Francis Whānau Aroha is a well-established Early Childhood Education Centre, offering high quality education and care in a safe and compassionate play based, environment catering for up to 42 tamariki aged from birth to 6 years in a mixed age setting.
We are passionate about children and their development. We recognise that children learn at their own pace and bring their unique culture, strengths, and interests to their play and learning and we strive to create an environment that caters for every child’s needs. We create a positive environment for teachers, children, and their whānau, working together to help children develop, grow, and thrive.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team who are passionate about nurturing children’s development through stimulating, fun and enriched interest-based learning. Positive, respectful relationships with each other, our whānau, tamariki and community are important to us and integral to who we are.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day education, well-being, and health and safety of children attending our centre; ensuring provision of education and care to service standards. You will also demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and bi-cultural practice and meet the Teaching Council’s required Teaching Standards. You will have a strong values base and conduct yourself with integrity, professionalism, and care.
