Beachside Resort and Oceans Resort Whitianga has a great opportunity for a Duty Manager to join the team at our beautiful beachside property.
Hospitality is all about customer service, so you need to be friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with guests and answering their queries with a smile! You need to be able to think on your feet, be proactive and have a positive outlook!

What we need from you:

A positive, can-do attitude. The ability to find the “yes” in every situation.
Excellent attention to detail.
Highly responsible and reliable with drive, ambition, and a high level of energy.
Assisting with guest and reservation enquiries
Providing efficient guest arrival/departure service
Anticipating guest needs and requirements
Finalising guest accounts and cashiering
Supporting the Housekeeping Team

Our team is small, so this is a multi-faceted and hands on role across all operations of the Resort, supporting the Resort Manager. We are looking for someone capable with computers (or willing to learn) and who has experience in motel admin/reception, housekeeping and reservations (preferably RMS). You will need to be flexible; able to work shifts on a rotating roster which includes evenings and at least one weekend day. You will be a team player who is eager to get stuck into a role where no two days are the same.
The occasional overnight shift to cover onsite manager absence may also be required.
