Wellington based, 2-year Fixed Term tenure
The Ministry of Social Development's Chief Financial Officer needs a fully qualified financial professional to take responsibility for leading financial support to our Disability Support Services team.
We're keen to hear from applicants who have previous ‘big delivery and leadership' backgrounds in achieving fiscal sustainability and the strengthening of financial controls and rigour.
You will be competent:
Developing a high performing team of trusted business advisors
Participating in business group leadership teams, governance and steering groups
Taking ownership of and leading annual budget preparation, regular forecasting, and the coaching of managers in fiscal management
Leading the identification and mitigation of financial risks
Establishing and maintaining contingency plans to address financial crises or unexpected budgetary constraints
Delivering financial reporting with a forward-looking view of business performance
Cultivating and implementing best financial practices
This is a newly created position and you will be pivotal to its success!
NB: To fulfil the requirement of this position a security clearance process will be undertaken. The successful applicant will need to obtain security clearance to the following level: Secret

Salary range: $197,574.00 - $291,662.00
