Butchery Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Meat Packer to join our Butchery team at New World Mt Roskill. This role requires someone with a good eye for detail, freshness and quality to deliver to our customers every day.
As part of the Butchery team, you will be contributing to the day to day running of the Butchery Department, ensuring that a wide range and expertly prepared fresh goods are always available. This role comes with the opportunity for career development and growth within the company. We are looking for that individual who is wanting to train and develop themselves, who has a passion for food and a commitment to work hard in a supportive and stimulating environment.
You will learn about different cuts of meat and will be based in the processing room which is a chilled environment. You’ll never get bored, as it is a busy role, and you will be working quickly with your hands, while being on your feet all day.
Your tasks will include:

Preparing meat products for sale
Ensuring that all meat displayed is well presented, wrapped and labelled.
keeping the display cases appropriately stocked
Assisting with customer enquiries
Ensuring food safety and compliance procedures are followed.
Assist in other areas of the store as required.

This role is a full time - Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
