Bakery Assistant
We are looking for a hardworking, friendly person to join our bakery team!
At New World Kapiti we are committed to providing our customers with high quality products and excellent customer service, and our bakery products have a great reputation in the community; therefore, we are looking for applicants who are polite, have attention to detail, a great work ethic and good communication skills.
The position is full time, will involve a weekend shift, and early starts. Early morning shifts mean you must have your own reliable transport.
Baking experience, skills or an interest in baking is desirable for this role, and if you are a mature, reliable, hardworking team player who is willing to learn and go the extra mile, we would like to hear from you!

As a Bakery Assistant your key responsibilities will include:

Packing, presenting, and merchandising products to ensure that a maximum range is always available for sale at the correct price - Assisting the bakers by preparing or finishing small goods such as scones, muffins etc.
- Keeping the department clean, tidy, and always well presented, and in accordance with the cleaning schedules and our Food Safety Programme
- Serving customers from the cake and pie cabinets and assisting with other duties as required to ensure the department performs to a high standard.
