Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Automotive Tutor on behalf of our esteemed client, a premier institution dedicated to providing high-quality automotive education and training. Our mission is to empower the next generation of automotive professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their careers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Automotive Tutor to deliver high-quality instruction to their students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive technology, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive automotive technology lessons
• Provide hands-on training and practical demonstrations
• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress
• Offer constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an automotive technician or in a related field
• Teaching experience or certification is highly desirable
• An understanding of student-centered approaches to teaching and learning (e.g. project-based learning, work-based learning, e-learning).
• Able to interact and be responsive to the needs of diverse groups, e.g. youth, Māori and Pasifika, and international students.
• Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety requirements and responsibilities relevant to the position.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, dedication, and a passion for teaching
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles
