Job Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to provide critical support to attorneys and assist in the smooth operation of our legal office. In this role, you will manage various administrative and legal tasks, ensuring the efficient handling of legal matters and daily office operations. You will be expected to handle correspondence, data entry, and document management while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:1. Perform data entry and ensure accurate recording of legal documents.
2. Manage and organize correspondence, files, and documents using Net Docs and other relevant tools.
3. Assist with general office management, including ordering office supplies, answering phones, filing, and processing mail.
4. Support attorney-supervised legal tasks, acting as a key player in the completion of legal documents and procedures.
5. Track and manage time spent on various tasks for accurate timekeeping and billing.
6. Maintain a proactive approach to multitasking in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that deadlines and priorities are consistently met.Required Skills and Qualifications:• 1-3 years of related experience; experience in a law firm is preferable but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other general computer skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to draft and process documents efficiently.
- Superior typing and word processing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative.
- Comfortable multitasking and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Dependability and confidentiality in handling sensitive legal matters and information.
