Resident Doctor / Medical Officer

Role: Resident Doctor/Medical Officer
Location: PULSE Clinic, Melaka (Full-time, On-site)

We are seeking a Resident Doctor/Medical Officer to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in transforming the health outcomes of our patients by providing high-quality, patient-centric care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient consultations with professionalism, clarity, and empathy regarding treatments and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive education on health, wellness, and preventive care, particularly in sexual health.
  • Accurately document diagnoses, treatments, and consultations, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations and workflow, ensuring efficiency and adherence to medical standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in medicine, treatments, and preventive care, particularly in the field of STDs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, regulatory standards, and healthcare best practices.
  • Offer guidance and supervision to clinic staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) sessions, and provide training to nurses and clinic assistants as needed.
  • Attend mandatory training and professional development courses to stay updated in medical advancements.
Qualifications:
  • MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience (experience in sexual health or STDs is a plus).
  • Skilled in performing minor procedures such as circumcision, wart removal, and IV therapy (added advantage).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including weekend and rotating shifts.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (Chinese, English, and Malay) is a plus.
