The incumbent is responsible to provide best-in-class customer onboarding experience to support the Company's business by assessing risks and approving or declining applicants within underwriting guidelines and compliance regulatory.
The complexity of the insurance business requires the incumbent to acquire strong technical underwriting skill, be a team player with high level of responsibility and commitment; customer orientated and possesses minimal supervisory skill. The incumbent is also required to work closely with other departments in delivering exceptional PRUexperience Service to customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Underwrite individual life and group insurance in accordance with underwriting guidelines, compliance regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Process cases in accordance to the prioritization given and within agreed Turn Around Time.
- Achieve individual expected productivity and quality.
- Keep up to date on new or enhanced products/services/guidelines to maintain a high level of quality service, and deliver exceptional PRUexperience Service to customer.
- Perform agent calling or minimize requirements calling to reduce departmental penders rate.
- Provide constructive feedback for process improvement where appropriate.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.
- Be resourceful in searching for solutions.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications
- A degree in Biomedical Science/Biology/Health Science or any field related to human biology or public health.
Experience
- 1-5 year's experiences in relevant industry.
Knowledge
- Effective analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident decision-making skills
