Executive, Environmental, Safety & Health (Jitra, Kedah )
Job Purpose:

• Managing & ensuring effective ESH programs and activities towards safe work place and compliance to applicable safety & health regulatory requirements

Key Accountabilities:
1. Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH)
BROARD FUNCTIONS

• Assist in establishment of effective ESH system and program in BERNAS premises and monitors workplace activities to ensure that workers/ site manager/ safety & health coordinator comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirement
• Authorized to temporary shut down any equipment or facilities that are deem to be unsafe or abnormal condition until all the necessary containment/ corrective actions are taken

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist in providing advise the immediate superior or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interest of the safety and health of the persons employed in the place of work
• To assist in inspect/audit the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labor used in the place of work is such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work
• To assist pre-investigation on any reported accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational positioning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work
• To coordinate and assist the site safety and health committee activity pursuant to applicable regulatory in organizing the implementing occupational safety and health program at the place of work
• To assist and coordinate with the site secretary of safety and health committee in implementing safety and health program at site
• To assist and coordinate the site safety and health committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act
• To liaison with the site KBB/ Warehouse management in collecting data/ information/ document/ record on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work for analyze and status action verification
• To assist any governmental/ local authority officer in carrying out duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act

Job Requirements:
1. Qualification:

• Bachelor's in Engineering or Safety and Health
• Relavant ESH competency with authorized certification body

2. Years of Experience:

• Minimum Three (3) Year of experience in environment, safety and health

3. Functional / Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrated minimal computer skills such Microsoft
• Able to written verbal communication skills ( Bahasa Melayu & English)
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills

4. Personal Attributes

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Independent and a team player

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
