JOB OVERVIEW: The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This role is crucial for developing strategies to enhance financial performance, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the company’s long-term financial objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Planning & Analysis: - Develop, implement, and maintain financial forecasting models. - Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making. - Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to general manager and director. - Assist in the formulation of business strategies by providing accurate financial projections. Budgeting & Cost Management: - Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Monitor actual performance against the budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. - Manage the company’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to budgetary constraints. Financial Reporting: - Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards. - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. - Coordinate audits, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Cash Flow Management: - Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs. - Optimize cash flow by analyzing working capital requirements and advising on liquidity strategies. Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and corporate governance. - Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing policies and procedures to manage those risks effectively. - Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies as necessary. Team Management & Development: - Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the finance team. - Evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and setting clear objectives. Strategic Financial Advice: - Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the company’s long-term objectives. - Provide financial insights and advice on key business decisions, including investments, acquisitions, and capital expenditure. Systems & Process Improvement: - Review and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy. - Implement and manage financial software and tools to streamline financial operations. REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is advantage. - Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a finance management role, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles. - Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. - Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a finance team Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
