A well-established SME business in the semiconductor sector is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company into its next phase of growth and transformation. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Oversee the company’s business strategy, ensuring growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Business Development: Cultivate and maintain key relationships in the semiconductor industry to drive new business opportunities and secure long-term contracts.
- Scaling the Business: Lead efforts to scale the company, ensuring the successful execution of large contracts and managing the company’s transition during a buyout.
- Operational Management: Manage day-to-day operations and the 80-person team, ensuring smooth business execution and optimal resource allocation.
- Cleanroom & M&E Expertise: Utilize your expertise in M&E (HVAC/cleanroom) services or semiconductor manufacturing to maintain excellence in operations.
- Corporate Transformation: Shift the business from a family-run model to a more structured corporate environment, implementing standardized processes and performance tracking.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the semiconductor sector, with experience in M&E services (HVAC/cleanroom) or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Leadership: Proven experience scaling businesses with annual turnovers of RM500 million and above. Strong background in team leadership and business growth.
- Business Development: Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A strategic, resourceful, and opportunistic mindset, with a track record of success in navigating complex business challenges.
- Experience: Ideally, candidates will be aged 40 or above with significant leadership experience in scaling businesses.
- Location: Must be based in Penang or open to relocating.
