Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,675.04 - RM7,127.16 per month
1. Farm and Agricultural Operations Management
- Oversee farm activities: Supervise and manage day-to-day operations on farms, plantations, or agricultural production units.
- Implement sustainable practices: Ensure the adoption of sustainable farming techniques, focusing on reducing environmental impact and increasing efficiency.
- Resource management: Monitor and optimize the use of water, fertilizers, and other inputs, while ensuring proper maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate production and distribution: Ensure that agricultural products are produced efficiently and delivered on time to markets, wholesalers, or retailers.
- Monitor inventory: Track inventory levels and ensure the timely replenishment of supplies, seeds, fertilizers, etc.
- Supplier relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of seeds, equipment, and other farming inputs.
- Ensure product quality: Monitor the quality of produce and ensure that it meets market standards and regulatory requirements.
- Health and safety regulations: Ensure that farming practices comply with local, regional, and national health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Certifications and audits: Oversee audits for certifications (such as organic or fair-trade certifications) and ensure adherence to industry-specific standards.
- Market analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer demand, and opportunities for growth or diversification.
- Product promotion: Work on promoting agricultural products, developing marketing strategies, and identifying new market channels.
- Sales management: Develop relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to secure sales contracts and boost revenue.
- Budgeting and cost control: Prepare and manage budgets for farm operations, ensuring cost-effective resource management and planning.
- Profitability analysis: Evaluate financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to improve profitability.
- Adopt new technologies: Evaluate new farming technologies, machinery, and practices to improve productivity and sustainability.
- Innovation in crop production: Research and implement new crop varieties, pest management strategies, or irrigation systems that could improve crop yields and resilience.
- Supervise staff: Oversee farm workers, managers, and contractors, ensuring that they follow best practices and perform their duties effectively.
- Training and development: Organize training programs for staff on topics like sustainable farming, new technologies, and regulatory compliance.
- Policy advocacy: Stay informed about agricultural policies and participate in industry forums or committees.
- Government relations: Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with government regulations, subsidies, and grants.
- Promote eco-friendly practices: Implement programs to reduce the farm's environmental footprint, such as reducing water usage, using eco-friendly pesticides, or promoting crop rotation.
- Waste management: Develop waste management plans for agricultural by-products and packaging materials.
- Leadership and management: Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills to oversee operations and manage teams effectively.
- Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of agricultural practices, crop management, and supply chains.
- Financial acumen: Ability to manage budgets, perform cost analyses, and improve profitability.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Science, or related fields is typically required.
