Lead Buyer Refractory

We are looking for a Lead Buyer in Refractories in Luxembourg!

EPO negotiates the purchases contracts of products for the group worldwide, designing and implementing relevant strategies to anticipate market evolutions and establish transformation programs. EPO also leverages technical excellence to develop best TCO solutions, providing efficient and reliable services to internal customers and promoting high standards of Health and Safety and Golden Rules from suppliers.

Within the European Procurement Organization, in an international and multicultural environment, the Lead Buyer is responsible of the strategic sourcing of refractories.

As Lead Buyer:

Manage relationships as Key Account Manager (KAM) to a given set of strategic Refractory suppliers.
Lead, coordinate and execute negotiations strategy.
Management of a specific set internal stakeholders (Arcelor Mittal clusters) dealing with all Refractory related topics with Refractory users, and specific geography where Arcelor Mittal is present.
Analyze and develop the portfolio of products / equipments, develop suppliers and internal stakeholders’ strategy.
Continuous improvement and implementation of TCO projects.

Transversal activities: in addition to the commercial portfolio of external suppliers and Arcelor Mittal plants, following the strategic sourcing experience of the candidate), the successful candidate may eventually support the Head of Refractory with transversal activities and projects:

M&A projects.
Financial valuations of Refractory manufacturers.
Forecasting Refractory Raw Materials trends.

KPI’s:

Performance of plants against budget.
Development of captive and alternative sources.
Development of low-cost alternatives.
Management of contracts and Key Accounts.

Studies / qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering. Majors in materials science, metallurgy or ceramics are a plus, but not necessary.

Subject:

Language / Level: English – business proficiency.
Another European language) and cultural sensitivity are a “must have”, due to the international perimeter.
