- Valid passport for up to 3 years
- Official degrees and their transcripts
- Valid teaching certificate
- An official copy of previous teaching experience letters, clearly stating the length of years of experience
- Must be under the age of 60 due to VISA requirement
- Must have a clean FBI Report/ Background Check (Please check the Kuwait Embassy for Work VISA requirements)

The Universal American School – Kuwait (UAS) is a non-profit, private, coeducational, college-preparatory day school serving a multi-national student body of approximately 1800 students from nursery to grade 12. The Universal American School, celebrating its 48th year as a non-profit, private co-educational, college-preparatory day school serving an international student body of approximately 1730 Pre-School-12 students. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the school is located on a two-acre site in Hawally, a suburb of Kuwait City. All teachers are highly qualified and experienced educators. UAS offers an American, student-centered academic program, enhanced with a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) options. Extra-curricular offerings include student government, National Honor Society, Model United Nations, drama, art, computer, and sustainability. Additionally, a variety of athletics (basketball, swimming, soccer, volleyball, badminton, and track & field), and the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) round out a well-balanced learning community. Our facility features swimming pools, an indoor gymnasium, a 320-seat auditorium, a well-equipped health clinic, and four high school and two middle school science labs.
