Arabic Language Teacher

About the Role:
As an Arabic Teacher for Adult Non-Native Speakers in Kuwait, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective Arabic language lessons tailored to the needs and proficiency levels of our adult learners.
Your primary goal will be to foster a supportive and interactive learning environment where students can develop their Arabic language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
All classes will take place on-site in Kuwait during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities:
● Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes.
● Facilitate dynamic and interactive Arabic language classes, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
● Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
● Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and cultural exchange among students.
● Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, program improvement, and assessment initiatives.
Qualifications:
● Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic language.
● Professional proficiency in English.
● Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
● Previous experience in teaching Arabic to adult non-native speakers, preferably in a classroom setting.
● Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and strategies, including communicative language teaching (CLT) and proficiency-based instruction.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners and create a supportive learning environment.
● Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in lesson planning and delivery.
● Certification in Arabic language teaching (e.g., TESOL/TEFL certification with a focus on Arabic) is a plus.
● Located in Kuwait and able to commute for in-person teaching.
