We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Worker (Professionally Qualified) to join our team in CHO 7 CDNT 2 Ballyboden.
Contract Type: This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week (1 WTE)
Salary Scale: €49,581 to €65,674 per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the Post: To provide a quality, evidence based social work service to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years and their families within an interdisciplinary and family centred practice framework. The post holder will be required to support other staff and students as assigned.

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria: a. Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date of the competition: i. Must be registered in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU And ii. Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU And iii. Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
Must be eligible to work in the state
Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transfer in order to delivery services across a large geographical area
Desirable Criteria:
Minimum of 1 year’s post qualification experience.
Experience of Inter-disciplinary team working.
Some years’ experience of working in the disability sector.
Recent, relevant experience working with children and their families.
Experience working with children with disabilities.
