Our client, is currently on the lookout for a Site Engineer for a pharma project based in Longford. They have multiple high-profile projects commencing across Longford & Leinster, the successful candidate will be initially working on a project in Longford. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent opportunities for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Execute essential site setting out tasks.
- Survey completed work and generate precise as-built records to ensure compliance with tolerance standards.
- Create drawing packs for block-layers and ground-workers, highlighting open spaces for services.
- Establish datum levels across the site for ground-workers.
- Perform daily safety inspections, document work areas, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct quality inspections in collaboration with the Senior Engineer according to the Project Inspection Plan (PIP) and record findings on BIM 360.
- Maintain waste management records as per the Waste Management Plan, including haulage logs for muck removal.
- Document SR21 records in line with the SR21 Method Statement.
- Conduct concrete testing as outlined in the concrete method statement and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Record cube results and log them on BIM 360.
- Sample and test stones and blocks following the ITP.
- Maintain weekly records on statutory health and safety forms.
- Conduct as-built surveys to document constructed structures and utilities located underground.
- Keep a detailed daily site diary, recording weather conditions, ground conditions, visitors, major deliveries, turnstile in/out logs, and daily whiteboard meeting notes.
- Take minutes during weekly site meetings.
- Conduct daily site inductions in the absence of senior management.
- Record all delivery dockets and submit them to the head office weekly.
Requirements
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Possess 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within residential projects.
- Exhibit a robust comprehension of quality assurance (QA) elements within construction.
- Capable of swiftly adapting to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Show a keen eagerness to learn and assume responsibility for assigned tasks
