Job Purpose
The Production Charge Hand role has responsibility for overseeing the day to day operation of specific areas within the production area/line to ensure overall objectives and production targets are achieved. To manage production processes, carry out systematic trouble shooting and identify potential opportunities for improvement in all areas of production including scrap, targets, quality and Health & Safety.
Key Accountabilities

Ensure all production requirements are met in terms of safety, quality, quantity, cost, deadlines, and housekeeping whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
Monitor targets and line performance; deal with any line performance issues in accordance with Company guidelines
Be able to communicate information via all forms to the team
Perform shift hand overs and start of shift team briefings as required
Prioritise workloads and tasks to meet planning/order requirements
To aid in preventative and corrective actions, be part of project teams to improve machinery effectiveness and production processes
To work with the quality, chemical and engineering departments to maintain existing standards and implement continuous improvement
Promote and maintain high levels of standards in relation to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and practices
Complete stock counts and investigate material variances
Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed
To ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking.
To ensure site adherence to and operation of the Compliance Management System responsibilities within ISO 37301 Clause 5.3.4
Adhere to the organisations compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures;
Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures;
Participate in training as required;

Key Skills & Experience

Good communication skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Proactive approach to housekeeping, 5s methodology and waste minimisation
Proactive approach to Health & Safety in the workplace
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Relevant degree level qualification in manufacturing, business, production or engineering (desirable)

Qualifications / Education / Experience

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience of leading a team of people (desirable)
Good working knowledge of SAP
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
