We are based in Kingscourt County Cavan where our new Innovation facility, IKON, is a creative environment designed to nurture the best of the best and reward them with state of the art facilities, social space, and even a gym. Our work does involve international travel to production facilities, external testing facilities, business partners, conferences, exhibitions, etc. when the need arises. What will you be doing? You will be a key part of our team on the R&D of new and existing products. You will drive the research and development of products from the theoretical structural designs and calculations to the physical testing, approvals and CE marking. You will bring ideas from the desktop concept to the live working building environment along with the Kingspan team. Working in conjunction with the R&D Project Engineers on varies products designs and structurally validating concepts. Having the skillset to organise, manage and track projects will be a day to day requirement. Working with all areas of the business to drive projects forward and having strong communication ability will be essential. What we’re looking for: A highly competent structural engineer to work in our team to take new product developments from conceptual stage, through design/validation/approval and right to product launch and installation. Communication skills will be key as there is interaction with all business departments to ensure new products are introduced according to project brief, cost and timelines. Although very much supported by a broad skilled team you will need to be self-motivated and have pride in achieving. Your main tools of work will be Excel, ANSYS, Solidworks, Auto CAD, Matlab. Although not essential to have previous experience in all of these it would be advantageous. Skills that will help you in the role: · Honours Degree Educated in Structural/Civil Engineering · Ideally M.Eng Qualified · Ideally Chartered Engineer Qualified · EN certification & regulatory compliance knowledge · Structural knowledge of building composites & steel design · Ability to validate & approve structural calculations via design of physical tests & vice versa · Structural testing, building test rigs, hands on approach · Good people and communication skills · Ability to manage multiple and lead projects through to completion · Be willing to travel globally when there is need · Full Clean Irish/UK Licence required Salary: · Competitive Rate · Company Bonus Structure Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay:
