Patrick J. Sweeney Solicitors are a firm specialising in immigration and human rights law based in Letterkenny, County Donegal. We are seeking a full time Legal Assistant/Intern to join our team, with a view toward working directly in practice with our solicitors.
The role will involve general practice, but with a strong emphasis on asylum and immigration and the judicial review arising from the forgoing areas of practice.
Candidates will gain extensive experience in dealing with clients under the supervision of the firm’s solicitors, and in terms of hands on file management.
Duties will include
· attending court applications
· drafting and reviewing documents
· attending meetings
· file management.
Key Requirements:
· Legal experience is an advantage but not essential;
· An education background in law.
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks;
· Good attention to detail;
· High level computer literacy.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
· Ability to work under pressure;
The role is available immediately, and for the right candidate after a trial period, the firm would consider progressing the relationship to a formal training contract.

Pay: €22,600.00-€25,000.00 per year
