IT Support Specialist
IT Specialist, Shannon, Co Clare.
Our client, one of Ireland's largest and most successful electronics companies, is now hiring an IT Specialist to join their world class Group in their facility in Shannon, Clare. They are a stable company developing and manufacturing new electronics products using state of the art technology. The location is within easy commuting distance of Limerick, Ennis or Galway. Working as part of a busy and experienced IT team and reporting into the IT Manager, your role will be a hands-on role. Ideally, they would also like the candidate to have an interest in Microsoft products such as Power BI and Dynamics, with the potential to become the go-to person for those needs.
· Working on the IT support helpdesk, logging calls and solving problems as they arise.
· PC / Server administration and support.
· Supporting LAN and WAN networks.
· New starter onboarding (e.g. laptop imaging).
· VPN client configuration and deployment.
· Office 365 Administration.
· Office 365 Applications – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams
· Windows 10, Mobile Devices (Android, i OS).
· Liaising with external vendors.
Candidate profile:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A high level of energy and enthusiasm with a strong work ethic.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Good IT support skills and experience in standard corporate environment (LAN admin, laptop & device support, VPN client configuration and deployment, Office 365 Administration, exposure to firewalls, switches, and servers etc.)
· Native level fluency in spoken English essential.
· Formal 3rd level qualifications in IT, ideally at degree level.
· Any experience of or interest in Power BI and Dynamics would be desirable (but is not required).
· EC passport or a current Irish Stamp 4 work permit essential.
· Willing to work onsite in the facility in Shannon Mon – Friday basis.
· Career level is minimum 2 years relevant professional IT support experience, maximum 5 years relevant professional IT support experience (candidates with less than 2 years or more than 5 years professional IT experience will not be considered.)
