What is AIM: Level 7 of the access & inclusion model, allows for additional assistance in a preschool room. A service provider, in conjunction with a parent/guardian, can apply for additional capitation where the provider considers that this is likely to be critical to ensuring a child’s participation in the ECCE programme in their pre-school setting. Roles and Responsibilities:
Adhering to company policies, procedures and operational practices at all times. Ensuring positive working relationships are developed and maintained with children, staff and parent/guardians and carers.
Looking after the care and well being of a child with additional needs within the Junior Preschool room setting and assisting the educators by supporting all the children in the class. The role is to reduce the ratio in a particular class.
Working with the room leader to identify the changing needs of the child, being mindful of the other children in the preschool room setting and introducing strategies that will work best for all the children
Assisting in general duties carried out in the preschool as deemed appropriate.
Responding to needs as they arise.
Being diligent and working in a large team.
The successful candidate must have:
A minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in early years education.
Have excellent communication skills and works well in team.
