We are looking to recruit an experienced HGV Motor Mechanic for a permanent position where the ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative in all aspects of servicing and general repairs including timing belt, clutch replacement, NCT & DOE repairs, suspension and diagnostics of HGV vehicles. Job objective: Answering directly to the transport manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repairs of trucks and tail lifts. The role will involve fault diagnosis, service maintenance and repairs of our fleet of Vans, Rigid and Artic trucks and trailers. Responsibilities
Responsible for routine mechanical and preventive maintenance duties in the inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles and tail lifts.
Set up and maintain a schedule of preventative maintenance check on all assets.
Maintain a clean and orderly workshop and workspace
Engage proactively with site H&S and compliance guidelines
Ability to learn the specific processes and equipment items used and the skill of identifying issues which could potentially lead to a breakdown in the future.

Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.
Relevant qualifications required.
Fully Qualified Mechanic
3-5 years experience working on HGV vehicles.
