Health Care Assistant
Care assistants carry out a range of duties that help to facilitate the planning and implementation of residential care. The care duties carried out are typically person-centred and in line with the individual care plans of each service user. When carrying out their duties, it's the responsibility of the care assistant to maintain dignity and respect for the service users and promote independence as much as possible. Some of the day-to-day duties you may carry out include:

- help with personal care, such as showering, dressing and toileting
- assist with food preparation and provide help with eating
- carry out household tasks, such as laundry and shopping
- provide emotional support and help promote mental wellbeing
- support with hobbies and physical activities
- get to know service users and understand their individual needs and interests
- liaise with other health and social care professionals
- help to organise outings and other leisure activities
- provide support to families and relatives taking on new care responsibilities
- monitor temperature, pulse, respiration and weight of the individual
- booking and attending appointments for service users

Pay: €12.50-€23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
- Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Level 5 in healthcare support (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (preferred)
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (preferred)
