Health Care Assistant Previous experience and QQI Level 5 in Health Care essential. Any candidates without this experience and qualification will not be considered.
Purpose of the Position:

• The Post holder has responsibility for assisting the Nursing Staff and other members of the Multi Disciplinary Team in all aspects of Resident Care in line residents needs.

Accountable to: Director of Nursing
Liaison / Communication:

• Residents, families and all members of the Multi Disciplinary Team, Director of Nursing and her Deputies.

HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT

Overview of the Role

• The Health Care Assistant is a valued member of the Multi Disciplinary team and plays a vital role in the promotion of consistent team work.
• Rotating on all shifts of duty as required including night duty.
• Rotating to all clinical areas if required by the Director of Nursing or Deputy.
• Health Care Assistants must report to relevant nursing/therapy staff when going on meal breaks. Break times must be flexible to facilitate resident care.

Pay: From €12.70 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week

• Healthcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (required)
