Your new company This company is a market leading aviation organisation based in North Dublin. They are experiencing exciting growth plans, and they are seeking an ambitious Finance Manager who is keen to take on this journey with them. Your new role As the Finance Manager, you will manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. You will coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting variances. Timely monthly financial statements will need to be prepared and published. You will also coordinate regulatory reporting and research technical accounting issues for compliance. Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and managing regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings are key responsibilities. Additionally, you will develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls, operate as a business partner to support team decisions and business growth, manage the finance team, and perform additional managerial duties as necessary. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate for this role should be committed for the long term, ambitious, and eager to develop and grow their career. They should be enthusiastic about the company’s growth and willing to travel to the US 2-3 times a year. The ideal candidate should have proven working experience as a Finance Manager, with over 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience. Ideally CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualifications are desired, but the profile emphasizes competency and the right attitude over formal qualifications. The candidate must have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, experience in creating financial statements, and familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. People management is not a major focus; instead, the role is centred on growth. This standard Finance Manager position includes being part of the senior management team, contributing to decision-making and strategy. What you'll get in return The salary for the position is between €80,000 and €85,000, depending on experience. The company offers a pension fund with a 6% contribution and life cover. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, with a 4:00 PM finish on Fridays, and there is flexibility with the hours. The role is hybrid, requiring four days in the office and one day working from home. Parking is available on site and a car is needed due to the location.
