Evening Accommodation Assistant
Job Overview
Reporting to Housekeeping Supervisors and Managers, you will be responsible for providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in Guest Bedrooms by servicing Rooms and performing Evening Turn down Service.
This includes servicing rooms after departure, preparing the room for the evening, ensuring cleanliness, replenishing amenities and creating a pleasant and inviting environment for the guest. To ensure the smooth and professional cleaning and servicing of the premises – its bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, toilets and business centre presenting a clean, fresh and friendly environment to the agreed standard of the hotel ensuring guest satisfaction.
. Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Room Preparation (Turndown): Turn down bed covers and arrange pillows, close curtain and adjust lighting to create a cosy ambiance.
2. Cleanliness: Remove any beds items such glasses or dishes, empty trash bins and replace liners, ensure bathroom is clean and restocked with necessary items.
3. Guest amenities: Replenish toiletries and other amenities. Place fresh bottles of water, chocolates or other nightly gifts on the bedside table. Ensure that all rooms amenities (TV remote, telephone, alarm clock) are in working order.
4. Guest interaction: Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
5. Attention to detail: Arrange personal items neatly if necessary. Check for any lost and found items and report them to the housekeeping office. Ensure that the room and its contents meet the hotel’s standards for cleanliness and presentation.
6. Other duties: Service Rooms after departures and assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times. Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
· When Servicing bedrooms adhere to the required standard, offering to leave the room if the guest should return.
· Report to management any missing or broken items either in bedrooms or public areas.
· Report any faulty equipment to management so that it can be repaired
· Ability to push/pull equipment and furniture
· Ensure proper communication with other department esp. Front of house regarding guest requirements.
Specific job knowledge, skill and ability:
To perform this job successfully the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other employees or guests.

Pay: €12.70 per hour

- Enjoy working with people and have a friendly and outgoing manner.
- Good command of English language.
- Previous experience required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interact positively with guest and fellow employees.
