**Position:** Duty Manager
**Role Overview:**
The Duty Manager will play a critical role in managing the shop floor and assisting in the buying process. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused individual to contribute to our dynamic business operations and grow alongside us.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Shop Floor Management:**
- Overseeing daily operations on the shop floor to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Leading, motivating, and supporting store staff to achieve performance targets.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring product availability.
- Maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer service.
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
- **Buying Responsibilities:**
- Assisting in the selection and procurement of merchandise.
- Analyzing market trends and customer preferences to inform buying decisions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of inventory.
- **Team Leadership:**
- Training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conducting regular team meetings to discuss targets, updates, and customer service initiatives.
- Implementing effective staff scheduling and task delegation.
- **Administrative Duties:**
- Managing cash handling, till operations, and financial transactions.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales, stock levels, and customer interactions.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety regulations.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Previous management experience in a retail management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of buying and inventory management procedures.
- Proficiency in using MS Office tools.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
