Job Title: Bookkeeper (Maternity Cover, 6-12 months)

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team for a temporary maternity cover role lasting between 6-12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
• Process payroll, manage accounts payable/receivable, and handle bank reconciliations.
• Assist with VAT returns, tax filings, and end-of-month financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Quick Books, Xero, Sage etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Contract Length: 6-12 months (Maternity Cover)
Working Hours: 15 - 20 hours per week
