Connexus UK are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician on behalf of our prestigious client a leader in storage automation systems.
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, and installing automated storage systems while ensuring quality standards and adherence to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Assembly & Installation:

Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of automated storage systems. Ensure precise alignment and integration of parts.

Quality Control:

Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that assembled systems meet performance and design specifications.

Technical Documentation:

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve assembly issues or defects, collaborating with engineering and technical support teams on complex problems.

Maintenance & Repair:

Perform routine maintenance and repair on assembly tools and equipment to ensure efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to maintain a safe working environment.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and suggest improvements to processes. Participate in training and development to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably in automated systems or industrial machinery.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and circuitry is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work well in a team and adapt to evolving priorities.
