Experienced Accommodation Porter
Main Duties

To communicate any relevant information to related departments.
Collect equipment, materials, key cards and assigned daily list from the accommodation department.
Have work trolley fully replenished from the day before to allow prompt start.
To keep hoovers, cleaning materials, store rooms clean and tidy at all times.
To clean assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards, using only approved chemicals/cleaning materials and equipment, and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to correct standards.
To ensure bed linen and towels are changed to the agreed schedule and standard laid down for your hotel.
Service of tea/coffee making facilities within all guest rooms.
To provide a turn-down service as per hotel standard.
To ensure guest laundry is collected, charged and returned to guest in speedy and accurate fashion.
To carry out any laundry/linen room duties as per your roster.
To carry out public area and heavy duty cleaning duties as requested.
To ensure any guest property left behind is passed to Accommodation Manager for lost property.
To report any defects found in the bedroom, corridors or public areas to the supervisor/manager.
To adhere to all Company standards in the accommodation department.
To actively participate in all training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance levels.
The ideal candidate will have:
Ideally have worked in a 4 or 5* hotel in a similar role
A natural ability to ensure that each guest in Newpark Hotel is made to feel welcomed and that their expectations are exceeded.
Proven track record of excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Available to work midweek & weekends
