Administer OFR Ops/CS processes and activities to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer’s global supply chain utilizing ocean transportation, maximizing profitability and optimizing utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies
Key Tasks
Under general/ limited supervision, support delivery of ocean freight forwarding processes and activities for internal and external customers
Provide timely and effective administrative support such as gathering operational requirements, arranging customer visits, responding to tariff queries, etc.
Perform administrative tasks such as research, data processing and validation, and documentation
Assist in compiling requirements for freight control center, and details, information and instructions for operations team
Share allocation and reservations of freight on planned line haul
Assist in ascertaining freight rate on incoming and outgoing materials and products based on analysis of tariff rates, freight classifications, delivery schedules and deadlines
Answer queries, prepare information for customer visits and participate in customer visits to maintain close business relationship with existing clients and enhance customer retention
Gather information and data for shipping tenders
Record and share information, and handle day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding
Reconcile data and generate reports and updates for account performances to support other team members
Follow and achieve compliance with established procedures and ensure proper usage of OFR Ops/CS processes and policies
Resolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methods
Support team members with less experience in different/ difficult situations
In area of OFR product:
Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize bookings
Prepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documents
Identify performance issues of suppliers, and propose solutions to improve performance
Update Customs shipment information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidents
Qualifications & Key Requirements
Education Level
Vocational/Specialized/Technical/Certification from any major
Experience Level
more than 2 years handling Ocean Freight operation
