Service Coordinator (Heavy Construction Equipment)
Job Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to join our team in the construction equipment industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating service operations, managing customer inquiries, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and ensuring efficient communication between customers and service technicians. This role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the seamless operation of our service department.Key Responsibilities:
Customer Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries, scheduling, and updates.
Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring optimal use of resources and personnel.
Communication: Liaise between customers and service technicians to relay information regarding repairs, parts availability, and service timelines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service orders, invoices, and customer interactions in the company’s database.
Parts Management: Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs.
Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Reporting: Assist in generating reports on service performance metrics, customer feedback, and technician productivity.
Compliance: Ensure that all service operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in service processes and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in service coordination or a similar role, preferably in the construction equipment or heavy machinery industry.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and service management software.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with construction equipment terminology and maintenance practices is preferred.
