Job Summary: The Restaurant Runner plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of service within the restaurant. This position involves delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to the guests, supporting servers, and maintaining a high standard of service to enhance the dining experience. Responsibilities: Food and Beverage Delivery:
Efficiently deliver orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Verify that all items match the order before dispatching to the table.
Guest Interaction:
Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and that they have a pleasant dining experience.
Address any immediate concerns or special requests from guests.
Coordination with Staff:
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Communicate clearly with servers about any issues or delays with orders.
Presentation and Quality Control:
Ensure that all food and beverages are presented attractively and meet the restaurant's quality standards before serving.
Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the kitchen or management promptly.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Keep the service areas clean and organized, including clearing and resetting tables as needed.
Ensure that all equipment used is clean and in good condition.
Additional Duties:
Assist with stocking supplies and restocking items as needed to support ongoing service.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Experience in a restaurant or similar fast-paced environment is a plus, but not required.
