2. Patrolling
Conduct regular patrols of the resort or property, both on foot and by vehicle (if applicable), to ensure security measures are in place.
Inspect buildings, gates, and surrounding areas to detect any signs of tampering, damage, or unusual activity.
Check for security breaches, suspicious activities, and potential safety hazards during patrols.
3. Surveillance Monitoring
Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to observe any unusual activities.
Monitor security systems, such as fire alarms and intruder alarms, to ensure they are functioning properly.
Record observations and document any incidents detected through surveillance.
4. Emergency Response
Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, or emergencies, such as thefts, accidents, or disturbances.
Act as the first responder in case of medical emergencies, fire, or other life-threatening situations, and notify the relevant authorities (police, fire department, medical team) if necessary.
Evacuate guests and staff during emergencies in an orderly and safe manner, following the resort's emergency protocols.
5. Incident Reporting
Document all security-related incidents, such as accidents, disturbances, or rule violations, in a detailed and timely manner.
Report suspicious activities, breaches, or damage to the appropriate supervisors or authorities.
Keep a daily log of security activities, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
6. Guest Assistance
Provide assistance to guests, such as giving directions, escorting them to specific areas, or helping them with minor issues.
Ensure that guests feel safe and secure while on the property by maintaining a visible presence and being approachable.
Assist in enforcing resort rules and regulations, ensuring guests adhere to the property’s safety policies.
7. Loss Prevention
Implement and follow procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities on the property.
Monitor guests and employees to prevent the loss of assets, equipment, or confidential information.
Investigate incidents of theft or vandalism and assist in recovering lost or stolen items.
8. Workplace Safety
Identify and report any potential safety hazards, such as damaged equipment, malfunctioning lights, or unsafe conditions, to the maintenance department.
Conduct regular checks to ensure fire exits, extinguishers, and other safety equipment are functional and accessible.
Assist in maintaining a safe environment for employees and guests by ensuring that safety policies are followed.
9. Crowd Control
Manage crowds during events, functions, or busy times to ensure the safety and orderly conduct of guests.
Provide guidance and instructions to guests during special events, and assist with the coordination of crowd movements.
Ensure that no overcrowding or dangerous situations occur in any part of the resort.
10. Communication and Collaboration
Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, front desk, and management, to coordinate security efforts.
Communicate effectively with the security team and other personnel, using radios or other communication devices, to relay important information quickly.
Attend regular security briefings and training sessions to stay updated on new protocols, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
11. Maintaining Order
Enforce rules and regulations set by the resort or organization, ensuring a peaceful environment.
Handle minor disputes or conflicts between guests or staff professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
Maintain professionalism at all times and ensure a calm and secure atmosphere.
12. Property Protection
Ensure the protection of valuable assets, such as equipment, vehicles, and property, by monitoring access and securing areas.
Assist in the safe handling and transportation of cash, confidential documents, and other sensitive materials within the property.
