1. Regulatory Compliance role
a. Oversee Breathalyser testing requirements as per DGCA guidelines. This will involve the following.
b. Oversee Certification of kits - First aid kit (FAK); Medical Kit (MK); and Universal precaution kit (UPK)
c. Audits - preparing for all DGCA and Internal audits and reporting them.
d. Continuous learning: They are required to keep themselves abreast with Knowledge of DGCA CAR, Protocol and Company Policies and maintain the currency of DGCA Class 2 medical empanelment.
2. Manpower Management
a.To manage the requirements of base paramedics w.r.t duty roster/ daily operations/ leaves.
b.To ensure suitable leave relievers are available for DGCA compliance requirements to meet operational continuity
3. Administrative/ Logistic Management role
a. Oversee the stock of daily use items eg-tubes/ batteries /local use medicines/ stationery etc.
b. To ensure supervision on serviceability of CCTV/ BA machines/ UV Boxes
c. To ensure timely stock availability by raising proper indents
d. To ensure supervision of the upkeep of BA rooms
4. Medical Consultation role
a.Crew sickness and fitness verification as per DGCA norms
b.To provide Medical consultation for staff and passengers wherever required.
c.To ensure expeditious MEDA passenger clearances as per IATA & Company policy
d.Cabin crew medicals.- to conduct initial/ renewal medicals for cabin crew as per DGCA Class 2 medical guidelines
e.To ensure the correctness of documents for Pilot medical reports verification
5. Training role
a.To conduct training sessions on First Aid and Occupational Health Topics for all Indi Go employees as required from time to time.
b.To provide training to New doctors and Paramedics about BA Testing
c.Periodic training of existing doctors and Paramedics on BA testing within their region.
