Title: R&D Regional Systems Functional Expert (Veritas and SRA) Segment: Mars Global Services Contract: Permanent Location: This role can be based in China with a focus on the following Hub Sites: HUA, YNG.
Overview
As part of the newly formed MGS (Mars Global Services) R&D team, we are looking for a T2 Functional Expert to focus on Veritas and SRA tools. This role ensures the sustainability and maintenance of deployed enterprise R&D Systems/Platforms in the region, while delivering functional expertise to the Business across Mars Wrigley, Petcare, and Food.
This role supports the Corporate R&D digitalization roadmap by owning the implementation of new capabilities in the business units & ensuring R&D Systems operational support (e.g., incident management, driving business process compliance, testing, training and knowledge management). Regional Functional Experts work with Segment Data Leads to identify and address data compliance gaps in the business units. They also work closely with Functional Analysts (where applicable), relevant Business Stakeholders & Key Users, Mars Digital Technology partners, and Corporate Product & Process Owners.
Working within a hybrid model, we expect 2 days per week (on average) home site attendance; candidates need to be based within commuting distance from one of the above Mars Hub Sites.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science or IT Systems or equivalent in Food Science or related subject area is desirable
Experience in R&D, R&D systems, Supply or DT/Business partnership preferred
Experience with R&D Specification/Recipe Management systems preferred
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and experience in Training facilitation preferred. Fluent in English
What will be your key responsibilities?
Key/End User Support and Knowledge Management:
Primary point of contact for Key User inquiries and support (where Functional Analysts are not established), including partnering with DT to ensure resolution of systems issues/bugs.
Responsible for development, maintenance and delivery of key/end user training curriculum and documentation
Responsible for managing key user community communities of practice and engaging business stakeholders.
Governance (Business process and data quality)
Supports global and segment process owners by activating the right actions with Business units to close compliance gaps in process and data quality.
Change Management (CIPs/New Capabilities)
Manages CIPs (creation of requests, testing & validation against business requirements, implementation in the business units)
New capability deployment
Helps lead deployment within the business units
Validates system functionality (including UAT, BIT testing) and manages any unit specific changes, including cascading system changes to key users/end users.
