Job Profile/ Description: Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-II for a time-bound Shell - funded project -Tuning information from genomics analysis of tripartite mycorrhiza associations for improving soil health with respect to increasing soil organic carbon (SOC) storage and reducing GHG emission-
Job Profile:
1. Plan activities of the project and monitor progress against approved work plan
2. Work with team to make sure project is on track
3. Carrying out molecular biology related experiments including PCR, q RT-PCR, biochemical and microbiological assays as required
4. Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (both primary and secondary)
5. Writing and preparing project reports, conducting literature review and other deliverables as per projects timelines
6. Participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities
7. Writing and participating in publications (scientific papers, policy briefs, opinion pieces, etc.)
Experience
2 - 3 Years
Qualification
1) Master-s degree in any area of Life Sciences/Genetics/Microbiology/Agricultural Sciences OR
Bachelor-s degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent- with good academic record.
2) Two years- experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Candidate who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions- will be PREFERED.
Skills
Hands-on experience in Molecular biology (particularly RNA isolation- cloning- quantitative real-time PCR- Northern and Western blotting)- Microbiology and Computational studies (OMICS) is REQUIRED. Basic understanding about agricultural science and Field
