Job Summary: As a Payroll Executive, you will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records, calculating wages, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring all employee hours, deductions, and benefits are correctly calculated.
Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholdings and reporting.
Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports, including summaries and tax filings, to management and relevant departments.
Discrepancy Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with the HR department to manage employee benefits, deductions, and time-off policies.
Record Keeping: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information and ensure proper record retention as per company policies.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
