Ocean Export Ope and Documentation
Job Description: Ocean Export Documentation Executive Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Export Documents:
- Prepare and verify shipping documents including Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List.
- Ensure all documentation complies with international regulations and client specifications.
- Coordination with Shipping Lines:
- Book cargo space with shipping lines and track shipments to ensure timely export.
- Communicate with carriers to confirm bookings, vessel schedules, and shipping instructions.
- Liaison with Clients and Customs:
- Communicate with clients regarding shipment details, required documentation, and any export-related queries.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance at the port of export.
- Documentation Compliance and Accuracy:
- Verify accuracy of all export documentation, ensuring alignment with international trade laws and import/export regulations.
- Ensure compliance with various shipping standards like INCOTERMS and international trade agreements.
- Handling Shipment Issues:
- Address and resolve any shipment discrepancies or delays, coordinating with freight forwarders and clients.
- Manage export-related claims and dispute resolutions.
- System Updates and Data Management:
- Update internal systems with shipment status and document processing timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments for auditing and tracking purposes.
- Tracking and Reporting:
- Track shipments and keep clients informed of their cargo’s location and expected delivery timelines.
- Provide regular reports to management on shipment volumes, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Compliance with International Trade Regulations:
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, shipping regulations, and customs policies.
- Implement any necessary changes in the export process to maintain compliance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in ocean export documentation or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of Trade Laws: Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, international shipping regulations, and customs clearance processes.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for dealing with clients, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Cargowise, SAP) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve shipment-related issues and handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage tight deadlines, and ensure timely shipment processing.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
