Job Title: Food & Beverage / FOA Trainer (Skill Development) Job Purpose: The Food & Beverage Steward Trainer will be responsible for delivering high quality training programs to students enrolled in skill development programs, focusing on developing their competencies in food and beverage service. The trainer will ensure that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform efficiently in the hospitality industry as food & beverage stewards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Training Delivery: ✓ Deliver engaging and interactive theoretical and practical training sessions on food and beverage service, including table setup, serving techniques, beverage handling, and customer service. ✓ Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and training schedules based on curriculum guidelines. ✓ Ensure students acquire proficiency in maintaining hygiene standards, safety regulations, and workplace etiquette in the hospitality sector. 2. Skill Development: ✓ Conduct hands on training sessions in setting up dining areas, serving food and beverages, handling guest requests, and delivering excellent customer service. ✓ Focus on grooming, communication skills, and body language as part of professional development. ✓ Provide personalized feedback to students to help them improve their skills. 3. Assessment and Evaluation: ✓ Regularly assess students' progress through practical assessments, written tests, and on the job simulations. ✓ Provide constructive feedback and support students in improving areas of weakness. ✓ Conduct mock interviews and roleplaying scenarios to prepare students for real world job placements. 4. Industry Awareness: ✓ Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the food and beverage industry to incorporate relevant practices into training. ✓ Arrange for guest lectures, industry visits, and interaction sessions to give students exposure to the real-world working environment. 5. Documentation and Reporting: ✓ Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and assessment results. ✓ Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Training Head on the overall performance of the students and training outcomes. 6. Mentorship and Guidance: ✓ Act as a mentor to the students, providing them with career guidance and support for job placement. ✓ Assist in organizing placement activities, including resume preparation and job interviews. Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Service, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 35 years of practical experience in the food and beverage service industry. Prior experience as a trainer or instructor is preferred. Skills: ✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ✓ Knowledge of modern F&B service techniques, menu planning, and hygiene standards. ✓ Proficiency in hands on training methods. ✓ Familiarity with skill development programs and industry certification standards.
