Position Overview: The Experienced Freight Broker will be responsible for managing and expanding our freight brokerage operations. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with shippers and carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of freight. Key Responsibilities: Client and Carrier Management: Develop and sustain strong relationships with both clients and carriers. Identify and address their needs to provide exceptional service. Freight Coordination: Handle the logistics of freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Rate Negotiation: Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and shippers to optimize profitability and service quality. Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, rates, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions and strategies. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the freight process, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum customer satisfaction. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to freight brokerage operations and implement improvements as needed. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience as a freight broker, with a proven track record of successful client and carrier management. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and clients efficiently. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in freight brokerage software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
