Job Overview: The Fashion Production Manager oversees the manufacturing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective production of garments or accessories according to the company’s quality standards. They work closely with designers, suppliers, and manufacturers to manage the entire production cycle from concept to final product. Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:
Develop and manage the production calendar.
Allocate resources and monitor production schedules.
Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to understand production needs.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
Identify and maintain relationships with fabric mills, factories, and other production partners.
Negotiate costs, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors and suppliers.
Conduct regular factory visits and ensure production is on track.
Quality Control:
Establish and oversee quality standards for the production line.
Conduct quality checks on prototypes and final products.
Implement corrective measures if quality standards are not met.
Cost Management:
Develop production budgets and ensure projects stay within financial limits.
Analyze and optimize production costs without compromising quality.
Work on cost-saving strategies in the production process.
Logistics and Supply Chain:
Manage raw materials inventory and ensure timely delivery to factories.
Oversee the distribution of finished goods to warehouses or retail stores.
Coordinate shipping and customs procedures when dealing with international vendors.
Problem Solving:
Troubleshoot production issues, such as delays, material shortages, or quality discrepancies.
Provide timely solutions and manage crisis situations during the production process.
